Here’s Who Logan Could Face Next

Logan Paul at the 2017 Teen Awards & now returns to the boxing ring

The rumors are true: it looks like the YouTube star is gearing up for a possible return to the boxing ring. In February, the fighter shared a video of him hitting a heavyweight bag, implying that he’s ready for a comeback match.

Paul Last Faced Mayweather in Eight-Round Bout

Last time Logan Paul was in the ring, he was up against Floyd Mayweather for an eight-round match. This happened last June, and it took his reputation as a fighter to new heights. Of course, his performance led to speculations that he’d make a comeback. While he hasn’t made the headlines for boxing, he made a recent appearance on WWE’s SummerSlam event, where he went up against popular wrestler, The Miz, and won.

While there’s a lot of guesses as to who Logan Paul can face next, here are some of the top contenders.

Possible Rematch Against Floyd Mayweather

After Logan Paul faced off Floyd Mayweather for a summer exhibition in 2021, he accused the American Boxing Champion for not paying him due compensation. Sources say that he also rejected a rematch because of the payment dispute, but it still means there were talks going on about a possible second match.

Paul addressed the rumors, confirming that Mayweather’s contacts reached out to him for a rematch, but said that he refused. In the match that took place last year, the best boxing betting sites listed Mayweather as a -714 favorite, but this may change considering it was a draw the last time. While Paul had an 18.6% probability on online betting sites for boxing, the enthusiasm surrounding his return can improve his odds.

Vitor Belfort Called Out Paul Brothers For a Match

Last September, Vitor Belfort beat the almost 60-year-old Evander Holyfield in a match, after which he called out the Paul brothers. Although Logan’s younger brother, Jake Paul, doesn’t seem too interested in Belfort’s call for a match, Logan may try it out to see his chances.

After all, Jake Paul was offered to face off Belfort in a winner-takes-all fight with a $30 million prize. If it doesn’t tempt Jake Paul to come to the ring, it may work for Logan.

Tyron Woodley Has Faced Off Jake Paul in Previous Matches

The ex-UFC champion lost to Jake Paul in two fights. The first was when Paul won by a few points in August, and the second was when Woodley was terribly knocked out in a rematch that took place four months later.

Nevertheless, the matches have led to a newfound respect between both fighters, so there could be future opportunities for a fight. This could mean Tyron Woodley facing Logan Paul in the boxing ring for a match. It helps continue the storyline while allowing fans to compare the performance of the two different brothers.

Paul Eyes Brazilian Internet Star Whindersson for Next Fight

Whindersson Nunes Batista, who goes by just Whindersson, is a famous internet star with quite the following. He recently fought Acelino Popo Freitas, an ex-world champion in boxing. The Exhibition bout resulted in a draw, but Whindersson made sure to call out Logan Paul after the fight.

Logan Paul responded via a tweet, saying that he accepted the challenge. He even told the Brazilian internet sensation to continue training. Whindersson then responded, saying to Paul, ‘Let’s do it.’

Not to mention, in one of Paul’s interviews with TMZ, he mentioned Whindersson when asked about any fighters he’s looking to face off in an upcoming match. Logan Paul called him ‘this Brazilian guy’ and said that he’s ‘got his eyes on him.’

Whindersson has twice the number of Instagram followers as Paul, so a fight could boost Paul’s popularity as well, making it a major opportunity for both fighters.

Tommy Fury was Set to Fight Jake Paul in Grudge Match

Brother to two-time heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, Tommy Fury was due to fight Jake Paul, the younger of the Paul siblings in December for a grudge match. However, Tommy Fury, who was also on the 2019 installment of Love Island, had to pull out because of a rib injury. Recently, he also ran into visa trouble before a match that was set to take place at Madison Square Garden.

Considering that Logan Paul has traded words with Fury on previous occasions, he may get a chance to fight him before Jake does.

While these are some of the top contenders for an upcoming match against Logan Paul, things could turn out any number of ways. So fans will just have to wait until Paul comes out of his so-called retirement.
